2.Circulation |
| All faculty, staff and students may borrow books from the library provided that they have the appropriate university identification and library card. For all regulations concerning reading and borrowing privileges, please refer to the library rules. There is a book deposit in the front of the library for off-hour use when the library is closed. Reference books, rare books, periodicals and newspapers may not be taken from the library. |

3.Reference Service |
Reference librarians are pleased to answer reader’s questions either at the desk, by telephone, in writing or via e-mail in order to help readers obtain useful information and make the best use of the library. |

4.Periodicals |
| The periodicals collection includes current issues, bindery, bound and full text electronic journal. |
| |
5.Database Searching |
The library provides full text, abstracting, indexing, and bibliographic databases. |

| 6.Microform Materials |
| Microfilm and microfiche materials are located on the second floor. Appropriate readers and printers are available for viewing as well as for making copies. |

| 7.Audio-Visual Materials |
| The library provides art, scholastic and high quality recreation tapes, videos, music CDs, LDs, VCDs, DVDs, interactive teaching CDs, sound publications, and disks. |

| 8.Reserve |
| Professors can list reserve books in the library. Students in those classes have priority use of these materials. All reserve books are located next to circulation desk. Most Reserve materials are available for a 2 hour, in-library loan period. |

| 9.Instructional Service |
When the school is in session, readers can make an appointment with reference librarians, who will introduce the various library collections and how to search the databases. |

| 10.Library Collection and Resource Guides |
| Reference librarians compile numerous instructional bibliographies and user guides to assist the reader in the use of library materials. |
| |
| 11.Interlibrary Loan |
| The library will obtain materials that are not available on site by requesting them through library cooperatives. The fee includes copy and postage (some additional service fee may apply for participating libraries). |

| 12.Special Collections |
| Special collections include the university theses and dissertations, rare books, Chinese classics, Mainland China publications, memorial collections, and university historical literature. |

| 13.New Arrival Books Display Area |
It is located near the Circulation Desk. Users can make their selection and check out the new books at the Circulation Desk. |

| 14.Private Research Rooms |
| These rooms provide the university faculty, staff and graduate students with library collections to do academic research. Monthly enrollment starts at 8 a.m. on the last working day of the preceding month. Daily enrollment starts at 8 a.m. for the usage of the day. Please carry university identification or library card to the circulation desk when signing up. |

| 15.Conference Hall (Liang-jiann Hall) |
| The conference hall has a seating capacity of 100. It accommodates the university administration offices, departments and student clubs for speeches and conferences. |

| 16.Online Book Recommendations |
| Readers can request book by obtaining an order list from their departments. Readers can also fill in an Online Book Order Form on the library home page. Periodicals are excluded. |

| 17.Interlibrary Loan between University Libraries Located in Central Taiwan |
| The cooperation library system includes 14 university libraries. Each university offers 150 opportunities for applying the ILL library card. Please check with circulation desk for further assistance. |
